THE CONCEPT
My concept was to base the whole frame on photography rather than graphic design, while being abstract at the same time. To do this I used a photograph of hands in oil, creating a liquid pattern which resembles the flow in the woman's dress. A third picture layered within brings rapid motion towards the figure, forcing a greater stop effect and focus point. The transparent layers give the impression of fragility, and brings some chaos into the repeated pattern.Â
Working as a photographer, I wanted to present a frame with a strong composition, and a good balance between layers and depth. The frame as a whole has a darker notion to it where the massive liquid holds down the woman, creating a struggle between her and the surroundings.
